Meet the Sea podcast: A New Cultural Chapter Begins on May 16th in Ibiza

At Meet the Sea, we have always believed that the sea is more than a backdrop. It is a space for connection, reflection, and transformation.

This spring, we are proud to introduce the Meet the Sea podcast, a brand-new cultural podcast experience that will debut on May 16th, with preparations already well underway.

Conversations that can only happen at sea

The Meet the Sea podcast is not a traditional podcast and it is certainly not a typical boat trip.

For the first time in Ibiza, interviews are hosted at sea, onboard our sunset boat, where guests are invited to share their personal and professional journeys, and explore how the sea has shaped their lives, their work, and their relationship with the island.

As the sun slowly sets over the Mediterranean, conversations unfold naturally: unhurried, honest, and deeply connected to place.

No studio. No stage. Just voices, ideas, and the sea.

A new way to experience Ibiza

Ibiza has long been a meeting point for creativity, culture, and reinvention.
Yet until now, no one has created a space where leaders, artists, and sea advocates can reflect openly on their journeys from the water itself , surrounded by the landscapes that inspire them.

The Meet the sea podcast offers a cultural and ocean-focused journey that blends beauty, conversation, and purpose, inviting guests to experience Ibiza in a more meaningful way.

Each edition takes place during a four-hour sunset boat trip around the bay of San Antonio, sailing along some of the island’s most iconic coastlines, including Cala Comte, Cala Bassa, Cala Gracioneta, Punta Galera, Cala Salada, Conejera Island, and the Gates of Heaven.

MEET THE SEA PODCAST 2026:Hosted by voices connected to the island

The series is hosted by Gregorio Cañellas and  Jo Youle, in collaboration with Meet the Sea, bringing together thoughtful dialogue, cultural curiosity, and a deep respect for the ocean.

Each episode features a different guest: voices connected to Ibiza through art, leadership, environmental advocacy, and lived experience.
Guest announcements will be revealed soon.

More than a podcast

The Meet the Sea podcast is a cultural invitation. An invitation to slow down.To listen more closely.
To reconnect with the sea not as scenery, but as a living presence that shapes who we are.

Access to the experience is by guest list only, with a limited number of places available per departure. The series is offered as a cultural activity free of charge, with drinks available onboard at reasonable prices.

Looking ahead

As we count down to our May 16th debut, preparations continue behind the scenes: from curating conversations and refining the onboard experience, to shaping a format that feels as open and fluid as the sea itself.

This is just the beginning of a series that we hope will grow into a long-term cultural platform, celebrating Ibiza through voices, stories, and the timeless rhythm of sunset at sea.

Guests to be announced soon.
