What is the Family Boat Trip?

The Family Boat Trip is a 4–5 hour educational and entertaining sea adventure designed for families of all ages. Created in 2021, it combines marine biology, fun sea activities, and safety-first snorkeling in a beautiful Nature Reserve.

How long is the trip?

The duration depends on your departure point:

  • 5 hours – from our private berth at the Port of San Antonio (boarding at 9:15)
  • 4 hours – from the Port des Torrent water taxi stop (boarding at 9:45)

There is no extra cost for boarding at either location.

Trips run daily except Mondays, from 1 May to 15 October, 2026.

Is the trip right for us?

I am prone to seasickness — will it be a problem?

Unlikely.

We sail slowly, close to the coast and remain in protected waters.

Tips:

  • Take seasickness tablets before boarding (we cannot provide them)
  • Tell our crew if you feel unwell — we are here to help
  • Swimming as soon as we anchor is an excellent remedy

A Meet the Sea school trip is a multi-day educational and adventure program designed for international schools visiting Ibiza. It combines marine biology, outdoor sports, environmental learning, and hands-on activities at sea to strengthen students’ understanding and appreciation of the ocean. Each trip is custom-designed using our Group Sea Trips brochure, which includes 13 sea-based activities.

All our activities take place in English, orin Sapnish for a fully immersive language experience.

Trips can last 2 to 7 days, depending on your school’s schedule.

    The Meet the Sea Podcast is a live cultural video podcast experience hosted onboard our sunset boat trip in Ibiza.

    Each edition features an in-depth conversation with Ibiza-based leaders, artists and sea advocates, unfolding as the sun sets over the Mediterranean.

    It combines dialogue, culture, sea, music and atmosphere: not as entertainment alone, but as a curated cultural journey.

    Is this a party boat or a traditional cruise?

    No. This is not a party boat and not a sightseeing cruise.

    It is a structured cultural experience centred around a live conversation, hosted by Gregorio Cañellas and Jo Youle, designed for guests who value dialogue, culture and meaningful encounters.

    The atmosphere is relaxed and elegant, attentive but informal

    Where does the boat depart from?

    Departure is from San Antonio Harbour, with the meeting point at Palapa Bar.
