Meet the Sea - School Trips
Meet the Sea designs school trips that combine education, sports and entertainment. Our objective in each trip is to provide students with an experience that strengthens their bonds with the sea.
Today’s individuals must accentuate their understanding of the crucial role of oceans in the preservation of our planet. We share our passion and knowledge through creative episodes designed for small groups of eager minds.
In the VIDEO, King Eward VI High School for Girls' visit to Ibiza last May 2025.

Introduction to marine life
Following our 5 years of success with the Family boat trip, we made some small changes to adapt its contents to a “students only” setting.
We take students (and teachers, of course) on a beautiful boat ride to the natural reserve of the island of Conejera. All is onboard: masks, snorkels, life vests, paddle surfs! Once anchored in the heart of the natural reserve, we organise small groups for the guided snorkelling tour designed by our marine biologist.
We will observe underwater creatures common to the natural reserve: sea cucumbers, sea urchins, Neptune grass, rainbow wrasses, ornate wrasses, sea breams, salemas and more.
A great experience that helps us improve our comfort in open waters as we discover the delicate balance of
the nature reserve and its inhabitants.
- Gain a better understanding of marine life and habitats.
- Learn about 10+ species, sea plants, and algae.
- Foster a responsible and active commitment with the delicate environment of our oceans.
- To strengthen confidence at sea by swimming and snorkelling in open waters.
Underwater drone mission
The unmanned ROV is presented by our team leader shortly after boarding to an audience eager to understand and operate this submarine remotely operated vehicle. We have chosen strategic points of the coast of Ibiza rich in marine life to appreciate the applications and advantages of the ROV.
An onboard screen shows the underwater progress of the ROV as each student has their turn at the remote helm!
A fantastic boat trip that combines cutting edge technology, beautiful underwater settings and the opportunity for the student to handle the ROV And create a video.
- To help you understand the evolution of sea technology through a hands-on experience with our ROV
- To learn the gradual development of ROV´s through the last fifty years and its current applications (onboard presentation)
- The most important is that you will be able to handle the drone yourself and learn directly from our instructor while you enjoy a beautiful location!
Paddle Surfing Expedition: The Wild North Of Ibiza
The beauty of the bay of Portinatx is unparalleled and a must during your visit to Ibiza.
We organise a private coach transfer from your hotel to the beach of Cala Xarraca. Our team leader then demonstrates the basics of SUP (Stand-up paddle boarding) on the beach and prepares all participants for the day’s activity.
During the 4-hour adventure we will admire the beauty of this bay, learn about the biodiversity of its waters and understand the impact of the sea over the years in the lives of local residents.
Some of the spots visited are S’Illot des Renclí, Cala Xuclar, and Cala Xarraca. Stunning.
- Appreciate the exhilarating experience of paddle surfing.
- Discover a sustainable activity respectful of the sea guided individually and in a group.
- To learn about the delicate balance of biodiversity in the pristine and secluded bay of Portinatx.
- To learn about Ibiza’s past through historical landmarks including pirate watchtowers, lighthouse and fishing huts.
Introduction To Competitive Sailing
In partnership with the Yacht clubs of Es Nautic in Sant Antoni de Portmany and Club Náutico de Ibiza we provide a hands-on introduction to the world of competitive sailing. We sail from either the port of Ibiza or the port of San Antonio onboard a cruising sailboat guided by a team leader expert in racing. During our four hours at sea we learn about the fundamentals of sailing and racing strategies with each student getting their turn at the helm.
- Understand the fundamentals of sailing: Points of sail, boat parts and structure, knots, sail trim and “rules of the road”.
- Participate in a regatta to apply racing strategies previously explained by our racing expert.
- Acquire a “sense of sea” by interpreting wind and waves in order to feel more comfortable at sea in any situation.
- Strengthen leadership skills by commanding a sailing crew, decision making in adversity and self-assurance at sea.
Hiking & Flora Discovery... And Natural Pool
Our hike takes us through breathtaking scenery of the cliffs along the coast of Ibiza. We follow our team leader, a local hiking expert, into a journey of discovery of the flora of our island. This is a great opportunity to take dramatic pictures of the coast as we arrive to our destination: a stunning natural swimming pool where we will enjoy a well-deserved swim! We end our hike with a snorkelling session aimed at admiring the beauty of underwater Posidonia prairies and its crucial role in preserving biodiversity.
- Learn about the flora of Ibiza guided by a local expert.
- Capitalise on the opportunity of taking wonderful photos of nature along the division of cliffs and sea.
- Understand the geography and geology of our coast and the impact of Posidonia oceanica (Neptune grass).
- To enjoy a wonderful snorkelling session in the vicinity of the natural swimming pool selected.
Fashion Tour: Shops of the Old Town Of Ibiza
The old town of Ibiza or Dalt Vila is a UNESCO world heritage site since 1999. Our tour begins at the Portal de ses Taules, at the foot of the Renaissance fortification walls near the old fisherman’s quarters of La Marina. From there, we adapt our content to different age groups as the diversity of museums, shops, workshops and artistic activities is generous.
- Understand the influences of the diverse Mediterranean cultures that inhabited Ibiza over the centuries.
- Does history truly impact our lives today? We attempt to revive the excitement of students to learn about the past.
- How is your perception of architecture and lifestyle influenced without you being aware of it?
- Names that marked the history of Dalt Vila: Blakstad, Hausmann, Benjamin, Camus, De Hory, Broner…
This is just the beginning...
