Corporate Sea Retreats in Ibiza: The Sea at the center of your wellbeing
Corporate Sea Retreats in Ibiza: The Sea at the center of your wellbeing
Executive Leadership Immersions in Ibiza
In 2026, Meet the Sea will host a limited number of Sea Retreats in Ibiza: private executive immersions designed for organisations seeking something fundamentally different from the traditional corporate offsite.
Most corporate retreats are built around meeting rooms. Sea Retreats are built around environment.
The Mediterranean Sea is not a backdrop to our programme. It is the strategic partner in the experience.
Why We Created Sea Retreats
I was born and raised in Ibiza. The lighthouse of Conillera Island lit my childhood bedroom at night. From an early age, the sea was not only recreation, it was also at thecenter of my curiosity.
Years later, during my career in finance in New York and London, I returned to Ibiza often. Not only for leisure, but mainly to realign, to relax and focus.
Over time I realised something fundamental:
The sea creates conditions for perspective, responsibility and alignment in a way that no conference room or incentive trip can. Sea Retreats were born from that lived experience.
They are not incentive trips or activity catalogues. They are structured immersions where leadership, sustainability and wellbeing intersect through direct engagement with the sea.
Why the Sea Changes Leadership Work
Most executive offsites rely primarily on discussion. Sea Retreats rely on environment.
The Mediterranean setting shifts engagement in three essential ways:
1. Perspective
Open horizons and physical immersion create distance from routine. Strategic clarity often emerges not from more conversation, but from changed conditions.
2. Responsibility
Direct interaction with protected marine ecosystems, including Posidonia oceanica meadows and natural reserves, transforms sustainability from policy language into lived experience.
3. Cohesion
Shared encounters with challenge and natural beauty create emotional reference points that strengthen alignment long after the retreat ends.
When a team snorkels together in a protected reserve, navigates shifting wind while sailing, or enters cool water at sunset during a Sea & Mind session, something shifts. The group develops a shared internal memory, not just shared notes.
The Architecture of a Sea Retreat
Each Sea Retreat is tailored to the organisation. There is no rigid sequence and every immersion integrates three interconnected dimensions:
Decompression & Realignment: Distance from routine. Restoration of clarity through guided marine engagement.
Sustainability in Practice: Responsible interaction with marine ecosystems that anchors ESG commitments in reality.
Reflection & Perspective: Research-informed Sea & Mind sessions and structured integration moments that consolidate insight.
Sea sports, biodiversity exploration, cultural immersion and wellbeing are not separate modules. They are unified by one element: the sea.
What a Sea Retreat Looks Like
Typical formats include:
🦀2-Day Executive Reset
🦀3-Day Leadership Immersion
🦀4–5 Day Strategic Sea Retreat
🦀Group size: 8–40 participants
🦀Duration: 2–5 days
🦀Investment: €400–€1500 per person per day
All retreats are private and exclusive to your organisation.
Logistics, safety protocols and accommodation coordination are professionally managed.
The experience may include:
- Snorkelling in the Nature Reserve of Sa Conillera
- Competitive sailing with defined leadership roles
- Open water swimming along Es Cubells
- Underwater ROV missions exploring marine ecosystems
- Sea & Mind at Sunset (research-informed immersion designed with Oxford medical anthropologist masters student Ivory Wang)
- Cultural encounters with local artists and chefs
- Guided coastal hikes and marine biodiversity sessions
But the power of the retreat does not lie in the list. It lies in how these elements are sequenced and connected.
Operational Integrity
Sea Retreats are designed and hosted by myself, together with the Meet the Sea team.
My background bridges international finance and lifelong maritime practice. I have led teams in global financial markets and taught sailing since the age of fifteen. The discipline of markets and the discipline of the sea share something essential: clarity under changing conditions.
Each retreat is supported by certified STCW crew, professional instructors and structured safety protocols. Operational excellence is non-negotiable.
A Personal Note
The sea has been my teacher for decades. It teaches scale, limits, patience and responsibility.
When executives enter the water at sunset and the horizon opens, hierarchy dissolves. Titles matter less. Presence matters more.
That moment, when the group realises they have been transported into a different mental state, is why Sea Retreats exist.
Ibiza is not decoration in this experience. It is an active participant.
