Our Family boat trip reviews: What customers value the most about our trip!

Our friends and clients often write in different channels their views on the Family Boat trip by Meet the Sea. Some choose Tripadvisor, some prefer Google, others book and review us through Getyourguide. And a few look for our Facebook page and leave their comments there! We are always so grateful for your comments, even if we do not actively ask for reviews during or after our family experience at sea.

It would be easy to simply stop at the number of stars that families bestow upon us. We always try to see what our friends and clients found most valuable abour our educational boat trip, centered around marine life and snorkelling. It is important for us to know what you think is most important when you are in Ibiza with your family at sea!

1. Strict Safety measures at sea: "We felt safe at all times"

This is certainly the aspect that seems to rank higher in family reviews. Since a lot of the participants in our guided snorkelling tour are children between the ages of 4 and 14, parents value the double safety standard we apply during the tour:

First, life vests of all sizes from baby size to adult size. We make sure that every baby, child or adult that feels more comfortable with a life vest at sea gets one. Our team go around every family on the trip asking the responsible adult who will be needing a life vest...and we put one on you then and there, right on the boat!

Second, life saver attached to our snorkelling guide. Our expert snorkelling guide attaches a short rope to his shoulder that pulls a life saver behind him or her at all times at sea. Toddlers, children and even some adults love to hang on to it and are dragged around...even if they are wearing a life vest! This makes everyone feel safe and encouraged to participate in an experience designed for snorkelling beginners.

Finally, our snorkelling tour is always limited to a small number of participants, a maximum of 12. This is to ensure that our guide keeps a close eye on all of you and provides a bespoke experience. All our guides are STCW certified and know our coastline well!

2. A great family memory: The highlight of our holiday in Ibiza!

Every time we read that our Family boat trip was the highlight of their holiday we feel so proud! The boat trip is a celebration of sea and family, 4-5 hours of joint discovery of sea creatures and the underwater world.

As a team, we always try to make children feel as comfortable at sea as they do in the swimming pool. We feel that making that transition from pool to sea can sometimes be tricky and we want the day at sea to be asuccessful and meaningful sea adventure for all. The key to making the boat trip a special family moment is to provide a beautiful coastal environment, calm and protected waters and a safe nevironment for every family member, regardless of age.

3. A wonderful family adventure of snorkelling, paddlesurfing and much more....

Always important to include a variety of activities to captivate every age group: snorkelling for beginnners and more advanced groups. Paddlesurfing for teenagers and adults, a treasure hunt for the little ones with an onboard pirate, and of course, drawing materials and an onboard aquarium for babies and children. You are always busy, or as much as you want!

We are not a glass bottom boat, because we do not just look at the sea. We are actors, not spectators in the stage that is the sea. We all participate and learn to love the sea through snorkelling, swimmimng and paddlesurfing.

4. Our baby had a great time with the Treasure Hunt and felt so eat ease on the boat.

It is an ongoing tradition since our very first Family Boat trip in 2020. Luisa, Jessica, Jet, Aina, Carlos and other Meet the Sea team members have played the role of a pirate looking for their long-lost Treasure. A maze of hidden objects and clues are distributed onboard, in different parts of the boat. The Treasure Hunt makes children actively look for a treasure chest that keeps them busy while teens and adults enjoy some time of their own paddlesurfing, swimming or enjoying a drink at the bar.

We always look forward to the moment when children's faces light up as they see what is in the Treasure chest!

5. We loved that Paella...fresh ingredients and cooked right before our eyes!

Three years ago we started cooking onboard. It was quite a challenge! We looked for a solid structure that would allow an open flame to cook while the gentle waves lapped the hull of our boat. Then, we became preoccupied with the selection of local produce to ensure a fresh Paella made from KM0 meats and vegetables!

Our chef slices and chops every ingredient as we make our way to the Nature Reserve of Conillera Island. Then, once we are safely anchored, time to light up the flame and start cooking all of the ingredients with the rice. And, of course, a separate rice for vegetarians! You need not be concerned about any allergies or intolerances to gluten, lactose, dry nuts or shellfish. You will see exactly what is on the Paella dish and how it was prepared!

6. The Family boat trip was worth every penny!

Of course, this is a key aspect of the Family boat trip. Is it cheap or expensive? More importantly, do those of you that spent your hard-earned money feel that it was well spent? We feel that our trip is an investment in sea education and general knowledge. Also, and crucially, a moment of personal growth and development of self-confidence through sea activities. A form of sea therapy through active participation as a family!

Ultimately, it appears from reading your reviews that a vast majority of those who visited our boat trip were very happy with their investment. We are not the cheapest boat trip available, but we are worth it!

We hope to see you onboard if you are planning your 2026 family holiday in Ibiza. See you at sea!
