Family Trip
Our website is certainly the best place to get your tickets! Our booking system provides a summary of your Family Boat trip, what is included in your ticket, and photos from our exciting adventures at sea. Though certainly possible, we do not advise buying tickets on the boat as you will not be assured a spot on the day. We have a strict policy of maximum capacity to ensure the quality of your experience.
We start our season in May 2025 and run through October, or approximately six months of the year. Water temperature is ideal during those months, ranging between 20 and 29 degrees Celsius. We go out six times a week in the morning, from 10 am to 2 pm.
We leave at 10 am from our private berth in the port of San Antonio near Palapa bar. Shortly after, at 10:20 am, we pick up passengers at the water taxi stop in Port d’ es Torrent beach. Those who board in Port d’ es Torrent avoid having to go to San Antonio and save considerable time and money at no extra cost.
We are a maximum of 45 people (including parents, children and babies) or 50% of our legal capacity of 90. We cap our capacity to ensure the quality of your boat trip. We have a minimum crew of 4 dedicated Meet the Sea members to look after you.
The Family Boat trip is at least 4 hours long, depending on where you boarded. We are back in Port d’ es Torrent at 2.15 pm and back in San Antonio at 2.30 pm. The option to board in Port d’ es Torrent comes at NO extra cost and means you save considerable money and time avoiding the ride to San Antonio.
We see families boarding prams everyday so…we are happy to board the youngest at no cost! (0-3 years of age). We want to make it easy for the whole family to stay together. While there is no definite age to participate in the activities, we do feel that the younger the better to benefit from the sea.
Yes, we have life vests and other flotation devices for all ages and levels. We also provide masks and snorkels for all sizes (Xsmall, small, medium, large) so that any age and size will be able to take part in our guided snorkelling tour. A drawing kit for children is also available.
Safety is certainly our biggest priority. Our crew have the STCW certificate, our boat passes a very thorough and strict annual inspection, and we have many years of experience in outings of Family Boat trip (more than 500). Please read our reviews! A lot of people comment on how safe they felt at all times, especially those a bit afraid of the sea.
Yes, our highly praised lunch (read those reviews!) is included in your ticket price as well as a dessert normally comprised of seasonal fruits. Mineral water is offered throughout the trip at no cost…please keep hydrated! We also have a bar onboard for soft drinks, ice-cold beer and wine at reasonable prices (so not included in the price of your ticket).
Bad sea conditions are bound to happen although it is by no means a frequent occurrence. Strong winds will cause waves and keep us from delivering ideal conditions for a safe and enjoyable experience. In that case, we will have to cancel your trip and a) provide an alternative date if suitable for you or b) proceed to a full refund.
Please visit your doctor or pharmacist and ask for appropriate medication BEFORE the trip. We are not allowed to dispense medicines on board, though we do have a first aid kit onboard.
If you are not able to park near the port of San Antonio (at the parking near Lidl or near the bus station) you have a private parking option at Parking Portmany with reasonable prices only 150 meters from the boat.

School Trips
We founded Meet the Sea in 2020 with the intention of promoting the role of the sea in education. We feel that today’s individual must have a closer relationship with the sea through extended knowledge and direct experiences.
The experiences we propose are a blend of education, sports and entertainment at sea to create different moments of connection with the sea in the hearts and minds of our students.
Ibiza has been known to our founder since birth and our team reside on the island for many years. The island’s biodiversity and natural beauty are the main reason we can provide an unforgettable learning experience.
Ibiza provides a first-rate infrastructure from the point of view of hotel accommodation, roads and private transfers. Our experiences take place in different locations around the island and short distances are a crucial factor.
Ibiza is a safe island with an international reputation for high standards of living and education and is home to a vibrant native and international community.
Yes. Please have a look at the risk assessment section of our school trips.
Every activity has been labelled with a different theme (education, sports or entertainment) and created with a specific set of listed objectives. The reason is that we believe that every activity has palpable educational value. Please examine the curriculum matching document created by our team found in our school trips section.
As an example, we are convinced that our sea trip is certainly more educational than the ubiquitous ski trip, fun as the latter is. We feel that the Meet the sea trip is a perfect combination of knowledge, sport and entertainment.
Yes, all boat activities are required by law to be carried out by properly licensed individuals. Any activities that take place at sea have an expert leading the activity (surfing, paddle surfing, hiking, snorkelling).
Yes, Meet the Sea required by law to have insurance for all their boat activities and demand insurance from all providers of other activities and material. However, as per our contract with each school, all students and teachers MUST have private insurance for the duration of the trip.
We consider firstly the publicly available reviews by clients in recent years with special emphasis on last season. It was particularly important to us during the selection process to have direct access to ownership or management. Fortunately, all cooperating establishments have a long track record and have been extremely supportive of our trips.
Private transfers are of extremely high quality. A strict transport regulation and the long-standing tradition of our providers ensures comfort, cleanliness and safety in all our transfers.

University Trips
Our idea since 2020 has been to bring the sea closer to all through sports, education and entertainment at sea. During that time, we have created fourteen different activities for you to choose from and each one of them has been designed and tested by our team.
We hope that the magic combination this island can offer in nature and recreation conquers your heart as it did ours many years ago.
Your university years are a time of academic and personal discovery. Our trip has been designed to provide a memorable experience for you and your friends.

Some of the activities are focused on the rich marine biodiversity of Ibiza. Others aim at discovering new sea sports you might not have tried. Finally, music, fashion and gastronomy had to be part of your Ibiza experience.
This trip is academic, athletic, emotional and epicurean. All of that.
